Andrea Zangara

Director of Scientific Marketing & Medical Affairs, Euromed SA

Andrea Zangara is Doctor in Clinical Psychology (University of Padua, Italy) and holds a Master degree in Phytotherapy (University of Barcelona, Spain). He has more than 20 years of international experience in pharmaceutical and nutraceutical research and development, holding executive positions in Academia and the Industry in several countries. Since 2017 he joined Euromed, currently as Head of Scientific Marketing & Medical Affairs. He collaborates with ESCOP and other international expert groups with focus on quality control in herbal medicines. He is author or co-author of over 30 between research papers, review articles, book chapters or books, including on the Mediterranean diet.

Anna Crescenti, PhD

Clinical Line Manager, Nutrition & Health Unit-Eurecat

Anna Crescenti has a degree in Biochemistry by the Rovira and Virgili University (2001), and the master’s degree University-Business in Biotechnology (2003) and the PhD (2007), both by the University of Barcelona. After completing her PhD, she worked as a researcher for CIBER-Physiopathology of Obesity and Nutrition for a year. In 2009 she joined the Nutrition and Health Unit at Fundació Eurecat where she has worked in the design and realization of R&D&I projects for food companies in the functional food sector being focused mainly on the research of the effect and mechanism of action of food and dietary ingredients on health. From the beginning of 2019 to the present, her work has focused mainly on the coordination of clinical studies and from the beginning of 2024 she is the clinical studies line manager of Nutrition and Health Unit of Fundació Eurecat. She has participated in more than 40 R + D + I European, national and local projects financed in public calls or with companies and/or administration and has co-authored 48 scientific articles.
